Unbeaten Thai Pornsawan Kratingdaenggym yesterday brought with him an antidote to Donnie Nietes' famed snake, showing the media a specially-made rope from Bangkok believed to have the powers to tame whatever venom is spewed by the Filipino fighter on Sunday when they clash for the vacant WBO title.
"That rope will defeat the snake. In Thai tradition, the snake will be hanged by the rope," said journalist Jeab Kuiyarat, who served as interpreter for Pornsawan who could not speak English at yesterday's special press conference at the Celebes Room of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
Pornsawan vowed to do all all his best to defeat Nietes, saying that he has done everything he could at the gym, and noting that all of Thailand will be watching his fight.

Nietes, meanwhile, has vowed to bring the first world title crown to the ALA Gym, although he refused to predict whether he would win it by knockout or decision.
Nietes was joined at the press con by his manager Michael Aldeguer and promoter Sammy Gello-ani.
The Nietes-Pornsawan showdown will be shown live in Thailand starting at 9PM on Sunday over Channel 7, while in the Philippines, Solar Sports Cable channel airs it live starting at 7PM, according to promoter Sammy "Don King" Gello-ani.
WBO Asia Pacific Chairman Leon Panoncillo, who also graced the press conference, said that the winner of the fight will be crowned the new WBO champion, and will defend his title against the winner of an eliminator being approved by WBO President Paco Valcarcel.
Meanwhile, the official weigh-in is set to take place on Saturday at the Cebu Grand Hotel starting 11AM, to be supervised by WBO Asia Pacific Chairman Leon Panoncillo and the Games and Amusements Board.
First bout starts at 5PM on Sunday, featuring the RP flyweight battle betweeen reigning champ Rocky Fuentes against Danilo Lerio.
