Undefeated Thai fighter Pornsawan Kratingdaenggym yesterday touched down in Cebu, looking ready to rumble and every inch in great physical shape for his showdown with Filipino Donnie Nietes in their WBO bout on Sunday at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
Pornsawan (20-0, 15 ko'S) arrived at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport accompanied by his manager Pramuk Rojanathan and trainer, as well as some Thai mediamen led by journalist Kittipong Kuiyarat.
"I'm very excited in my first trip to the Philippines. But I'm also very confident of beating Nietes. I've prepared long and hard for this fight," Pornsawan said in his opening statement to the media at the airport, as translated by Kuiyarat.

The 8-member Team Pornsawan was immediately whisked into a waiting SUV owned by top Filipino promoter Sammy Gello-ani, and the group went straight into the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel where they are billeted.
Today, both Nietes and Pornsawan will face the media for the first time together at a 3PM press conference at the Celebes Room of the Waterfront Hotel.
Meanwhile, Nietes (21-1-3, 13 KO's), in a separate interview yesterday at the ALA Gym, hinted that he will be ready for a knockout win when the chance presents itself, and is also ready to do battle even if the fight goes the distance.
"I've never been this prepared for a fight. My relatives are coming all the way from Bacolod. I will not shame them," said the humble ALA Boy from Murcia, Negros Occidental.
