SALUD READY TO BANKROLL MARLEY-GACAL SHOWDOWN!

CEBU CITY--Influential boxing promoter Rex 'Wakee' Salud, who owns the gym where superstar Manny Pacquiao currently trains, has said he will be ready to put up the November 14 Michael Marley-Jing Gacal showdown in time for the highly-anticipated WBC Annual Convention at the Manila Hotel.

When told that Marley, the outstanding writer and brains behind the widely-popular Boxingconfidential.com, has accepted Gacal's dare to a fistfight, Salud immediately conferred with Pacquiao and they both agreed to hold the fight.

Pacquiao, however, looked worried for his friend Jing Gacal after Salud told him that Marley, whom he had met in New York, is a heavyweight and Gacal might just end up getting upsides from sponsors for his shoe soles.

Salud also expressed fears for Gacal, but it seems the Filipino lawyer is hell-bent on taking on the American legal expert not in court, but in the ring.

Meanwhile, well-respected GAB Chairman Eric Buhain, who is in the thick of preparations for the upcoming WBC Convention in Manila, had announced that the November 14 card which is a part of the convention is now being finalized.

Buhain, who was in Cebu recently to check on Pacquiao's training and met with some boxing personalities, is now firming up the explosive fight card.

The Marley-Gacal showdown might just end up being included in that card, as earlier proposed by Marley himself.
