Everywhere he goes or everytime he roams around the > City, there's always a fiesta-like athmosphere. People from all walks of life are going nuts whenever they > see him and get mesmerized by his magnetic presence. That is the charisma of Filipino sports hero Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao's diehard Cebuano supporters will experience those things as he holds a special Fans Day right after the rematch of Team Pacman and the Cebu Media hoopsters set from 9:30 am to 12nn today, Sunday, at the Cebu Coliseum.

Well-known Cebuano promoter Rex "Wakee" Salud told The Freeman that Pacquiao has ordered the exhibition match be opened to the public for free so his fans could have a glimpse of the General Santos City fighter's well-rounded skills on hardcourt.

"This is Pacquiao's own way of letting his Cebuano fans know how appreciative he is for their warm reception while he is in Cebu training for his rematch with Barrera," said Salud, who is also Pacman's confidant and business partner.

Pacquiao is currently in the thick of torrid training at Salud's world-class RWS Gym for his much-awaited return bout with Marco Antonio Barrera on October 6 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After the basketball game, Salud said Pacquiao will be gracious enough to pose for photographs, sign autographs, rub elbows and exchange high fives with his fans.

Though the Coliseum is open to the public, Salud advised all those who will watch Pacman's friendly encounter with the Cebu media hoop buffs to stay only at the lower box area. Those who will violate such request will be strictly dealt with.

Pacquiao scored 27 points in leading Team Pacman to a 75-72 victory over the Cebu Media hoopsters during their first match last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

While Pacquiao and his chargers are all set to affirm their dominance, the Cebu Media cagers are raring to get even with a more formidable lineup this time.

Fighting under the banner of Cebu Media are Manny Villaruel, Rico Navarro and Yoyo Abayan of The Freeman, Jun Migallen and Erwin Lirazan of Superbalita, Allan Defensor, Jingo Quijano and John Pages of Sun.Star, Calvin Cordova, Jonas Panerio and Lito Tecson of Cebu Daily News, Roy Aznar of RPN-9 and Dodong Guden of dyRF Radio Fuerza.
