Donnie "Ahas" Nietes will face his 15th Mexican career opponent in Edgar Sosa, the former WBO lightfyweight champion. In his 39 professional fights, he won over 14 Mexican fighters.

Pinoy Pride 38 is appropriately named Philippines vs. Mexico since Nietes can claim the monicker "Mexicutioner" aptly given to Manny Pacquiao.

Nietes has defeated Mexicans Raul Garcia TKO5 (12), Juan Alejo UD, Francisco Rodr?guez, Jr. UD, Gilberto Parra TKO9 (12), Carlos Velarde TKO7 (12), Mois?s Fuentes TKO9 (12), Sammy Guti?rrez KO3 (12), Felipe Salguero UD, Ram?n Garc?a Hirales UD, Armando Vazquez KO1 (10), Mario Rodriguez UD, Jes?s Silvestre TKO10 (10), Manuel Vargas SD, and Erik Ramirez UD.

He had majority draw with Mois?s Fuentes during their first encounter.

On the other hand, Sosa has beaten five Filipino foes including Roilo Golez TKO7 (12), Ryan Bito TKO10 (12), Juanito Rubillar TKO7 (12), Sonny Boy Jaro UD, and Filipino-Hawaiian Brian Viloria MD. He lost to Rodel Mayol TKO2 (12) in a WBC world lightflyweight title fight.

Can Nietes continue his winning streak against Mexicans? Or can Sosa exact revenge of his countrymen on their tormentor?
