BREAKING NEWS: BATAWANG VS VERDE IS OFF!

In a text message to Philboxing.com, ALA Boxing Gym president Michael Aldeguer informed from Sacramento that the Bert Batawang-Gerardo Verde IBF eliminator is off.
"Batawang versus Verde has been cancelled. Verde did not pass medical test due to detached retinas. World Cup will only have six fights," informed Aldeguer.
IBF championship chairman Lindsey Tucker, in an email to this writer, also informed that indeed, Verde did not pass the medical due to his eye condition.
