After a good showing in the early rounds, Rodel Mayol walked into a big right shot by IBF champ Ulises Solis and was stopped in the 8th round and failed in his bid to win the world crown in his second attempt.
Mayol was open when caught with a big right, Solis' bread-and-butter punch, and was stopped at the 1:13 mark of the eighth round.
