Undefeated hot Filipino prospect Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista of the ALA Boxing Gym is poised to sign another three-year contract extension with Golden Boy Promotions of the legendary Oscar De la Hoya.

In an interview today, Bautista's manager Michael Aldeguer, who is also president of the ALA Boxing Gym, revealed that he met with GBP vice-president Eric Gomez and international matchmaker Sampson 'Picasso' Lewkowicz, and the young Aldeguer has committed to the proposal put on the table by the GBP executives.

"I have committed to them and have accepted the offer that Boom Boom will be with GBP for three years because we trust the honesty and integrity of GBP they always look after the welfare of the boxers which is the priority of ALA Boxing Gym," Aldeguer stressed.

Although Bautista is still under contract with GBP, the extension just proves to everyone that ALA Boxing is very satisfied with the way the LA-based boxing outfit has been charting the career of the Tagbilaran City fighter.

"We cannot think of any other promoter because we know they are the best and they have great and honest people to work with. ALA Boxing will always be with GBP, they have done so much for us even just for a year of working with them. They have always been honest with us," Aldeguer explained.

In closing Aldeguer said: "The meeting was the long term plans of ALA Boxing and SGG Promotions in which ALA (Antonio L. Aldeguer) has given me the authority to decide for the group and the future with GBP and after meeting with them, I have decided that ALA Group will be with them forever because I personally trust their vision and principles and I know that they are the best in doing things right the way it should be."

Most of all, their sincerity, honesty, integrity make them special from other promoters and it is in accordance with what ALA Group wants for us to attain our goals and for the future of Philippine boxing. We believe and trust GBP and I personally believe that working with them forever will help secure the future of Philippine boxing and most of all give security to the boxers which is the most important of all and that is what ALA Group wants and I believe it's also what GBP wants."
