Along Denoy goes for the WBO Asia-Pacific light-flyweight title today against reigning champion Kaichon Sor Vorapin in Thailand.

Denoy has been unbeaten since 2005 when he lost on a technical decision to Vorapin during their first encounter.

This time, the grudge rematch is expected to be more explosive than their first meeting.

Vorapin has also been unbeaten since 2005 when he was stopped in the sixth round by WBO champion Hugo Cazares in the inaugural staging of boxing's 'World Cup.'

Since then, Vorapin has been on an 8-bout winning spree against four Filipino fighters, a Korean, a Chinese, and one mysterious opponent that could not be named, possibly a protege of a notorious boxing agent based in Thailand.

Another Filipino, Eduardo Apa-ap, vies for the WBO Asia-Pacific superbantam title against Sod Looknoyangtoy, the same fighter who was leveled by WBO champion Daniel Ponce De Leon in a single round last year.
