GENERAL SANTOS CITY ? World eight-division boxing champion and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao confirmed he?s going to visit death convict Mary Jane Veloso in Indonesian jail.

Veloso was scheduled to be executed by firing squad last April but was given a reprieve by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Pacquiao was one of those who made an appeal to Widodo to spare the life of the Filipina migrant worker.

Pacquiao and his wife, Sarangani Vice Governor Jinkee Pacquiao, flew to Indonesia on Tuesday.

The Filipino boxing legend claimed he had a scheduled commercial shoot in Indonesia and may decide to visit Veloso in her jail to pray her over.

In a text message on Wednesday, the boxer-lawmaker bared he was set to meet Widodo and Veloso on Friday.

However, the Figthter-of-the-Decade sent another text message late Thursday evening saying that his visit to Veloso will push through but his meeting with Widodo is not yet certain.

?Tuloy ang dalaw ko kay Mary Jane Veloso bukas (Friday). Pero ang meeting ko kay President Joko Widodo hindi pa sigurado,? Pacquiao said in his text message.

Pacquiao is the vice chairperson of the House?s Committee on Migrant Workers? Affairs.

The Indonesian government is expected to announce the complete names of those scheduled to be executed by firing squad after the Ramadhan on July 17.

The Veloso family was hoping and praying Pacquiao?s visit may help spare the life of Mary Jane.

?No one should take the credit, except God, for the three-month?s temporary reprieve given by the Indonesian President to Mary Jane Veloso. I?m gonna visit her in jail to share with her the Word God,? Pacquiao said.
