
WBC PREXY SULAIMAN IN RP ON NOV. 9!

World Boxing Council (WBC) president Jose Chagnon Sulaiman is scheduled to arrive in Manila on November 9, Friday, in preparation for the 45th Annual WBC Convention which will be held at the world-famous Manila Hotel.
A day prior to Sulaiman's arrival, the OPBF Convention gets started with OPBF president Frank Quill on top of the discussions. The two-day OPBF Convention will also be held at the Manila Hotel.
"Manila has all the good things to offer to our foreign visitors. Having the distinct characteristics of providing homey comfort, leisure, unlimited fun, peace, security, and the incomparable hospitality of the people living in this city, proves the city?s ability to host a prestigious assembly of top boxers from all over the world and the constitution of boxing worldwide," states GAB Chairman and OPBF vice-president Eric Buhain.
"In the advent of this boxing mania, the Philippines have already shown to the rest of the world our enduring support to this sport. Over the years, we have proven our capacity to produce world class boxers who vigorously fought for their well deserved tittles.
"In behalf of the Philippine Games and Amusements Board, we are proud to be your host for the 45 th WBC Annual Convention. We promise to bring you the best in November 2007. Mabuhay WBC!"
On November 10, a meeting among all members of the Ratings Committee takes place, as well as the arrival of the members of the WBC Board of Governors and delegates.
A big boxing event is slated on November 11, as well as the continuation of the ratings committee meeting and capped by a Cocktail Dinner.
The WBC Convention proper takes place starting November 12 through 16, with highlights that include committee meetings, as well as the convention proper and side-events such as Bull Stag Derby at the Araneta Coliseum and the WBC Cup Race at the PRCI in Makati City.
