World Boxing Council (WBC) president Jose Chagnon Sulaiman is scheduled to arrive in Manila on November 9, Friday, in preparation for the 45th Annual WBC Convention which will be held at the world-famous Manila Hotel.

A day prior to Sulaiman's arrival, the OPBF Convention gets started with OPBF president Frank Quill on top of the discussions. The two-day OPBF Convention will also be held at the Manila Hotel.

"Manila has all the good things to offer to our foreign visitors. Having the distinct characteristics of providing homey comfort, leisure, unlimited fun, peace, security, and the incomparable hospitality of the people living in this city, proves the city?s ability to host a prestigious assembly of top boxers from all over the world and the constitution of boxing worldwide," states GAB Chairman and OPBF vice-president Eric Buhain.

"In the advent of this boxing mania, the Philippines have already shown to the rest of the world our enduring support to this sport. Over the years, we have proven our capacity to produce world class boxers who vigorously fought for their well deserved tittles.

"In behalf of the Philippine Games and Amusements Board, we are proud to be your host for the 45 th WBC Annual Convention. We promise to bring you the best in November 2007. Mabuhay WBC!"
