IBF mandatory challenger Florante Condes of the Philippines has just reached the 100-round mark in his preparation for the June 16 challenge of reigning IBF minimumweight kingpin Muhammad Rachman in Jakarta, Indonesia.

This as Condes' co-manager Aljoe Jaro informed that Team Condes is slated to fly to Jakarta on June 11 for the fight.

Aside from Condes and Jaro, also making the trip are Jeorge Sol and a lawyer friend, Atty. Mendoza. Also set to arrive in Jakarta are Condes' co-manager Dante Ortiz and former WBA junior welter king Morris East.

Condes did some 12 rounds of sparring today, upping his total to 108 rounds as he aims to become the only Filipino to hold a legitimate world title on June 16.

"Ramdam na ramdam ko na. Wala tayo kaba. 101 percent champion tayo," (I can feel it already. We have no fear. I'm 101 percent sure we will be the champion), reported Jaro from his base in Manila last night.

Condes has been sparring at Jaro's gym against Sonny Boy Jaro, Danilo Lerio and Roberto Lerio.

Las Vegas-based Puerto Rican Ortiz, who co-manages Condes, informed this writer in a recent interview in Las Vegas that he will be flying to Indonesia to be at ringside for the Condes-Rachman showdown. Ortiz will be accompanied in the trip by his business partner and former WBA world light welterweight king Morris East, who is also based in Las Vegas.

Ortiz said that he knows Condes has a good chance against the veteran Rachman, especially if Condes can unload on the champion's kisser.

"Florante needs to move a lot in this fight, and go to the body, go to the body. We known Rachman moves a lot, so we have got to stop that," said Ortiz.
