LOS ANGELES, Cal. -- A young celebrity , who could probably be the no. 1 attraction in the coming 2015 Palarong Pambansa set to start May 3 in Davao, will not be coming to grace the annual competition among the country's high school student athletes.

Jimwell Pacquiao, eldest son of World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and Sarangani Vice Gov. Jinkee, won't make it to the meet spread until May 9 in Tagum City.

Jimwell made it to the Palaro as a member of the General Santos City basketball team that topped the SOCCKSARGEN regional meet leading to the national championships.

He plays no. 2 guard in his team and emerged as among the top scorers in the tournament with his patented three-point shooting he must have inherited from his Sarangani Congressman father.

The now 14-year-old Jimwell is presently here in Los Angeles, along with his mom and other siblings -- Michael, Princess, Queenie and even the youngest, Baby Israel, who will turn one-year-old on April 27

The eight-division champion's family flew in here three weeks ago to lend moral support to Pacquiao, who will be fighting undefeated American Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd's welterweight unification encounter, at the MGM Grand Arena in the sin city of Las Vegas in Nevada.

They will all be at the ringside on the night of the fight along with other members of the Pacquiao and Jamora families. Jinkee's maiden name is Jamora.

"It's a pity I couldn't make it to Palaro, first time ko pa naman makapaglaro sana," the 5-foot-6 no. 2 guard, who represented Hope Christian School in the regional meet, told this writer Tuesday night.

"Hindi bale, I just wish my teammates good luck in the tournament," Jimwell said.

"Sana manalo kayo and bring the basketball's gold medal to GenSan."

"Wish ko rin na sana yung iba pang teams ng SOCCKSARGEN manalo din so they can finish at the top of the medal standing pagkatapos ng competition," Jimwell said. "Ingat kayong lahat.

"My only request to them and to all citizens of GenSan na ipagdasal ang Daddy ko so he can be safe from accident that may cause him injury and serious sickness during the remaining days of his training," he said. "The same goes to us, my Mom, and my brothers and sisters."

"And, most importantly, pray, too, that my Dad wins the biggest fight of his life, not only for himself, us, his family, but, likewise, for our country and the Filipinos," the good looking eldest child of the world famous Pacquiao couple said.
