ALL OF MANNY?S MEN BELIEVE HE?LL WIN AND HERE?S WHY

LOS ANGELES ? A media man was in front of Manny Pacquiao?s mansion on Plymouth Street this city early Monday evening waiting for the World Boxing Organization welterweight king to arrive from another long workout at the Wild Card Gym over in Hollywood.

Pacquiao spent more than an hour roadwork cum conditioning exercises earlier that day at the rolling Griffith Hills. He did the mitts for 12 rounds with chief trainer Freddie Roach mid-afternoon (15 had Roach heeded his request or additional rounds as he usally do) before honoring an earlier commitment somewhere in this City of Angels.

Some of Pacquiao?s men kept the newsman at the house fa?ade, while waiting for the host. The champ?s younger Bobby, a former boxer himself, was there. Members of the security group were there, one transportation engineer, etc.

Sensing that Pacman won?t be coming at least within an hour from an earlier commitment, the reporter started asking people within his immediate sight on their thoughts of what would be outcome of Pacquiao?s coming fight with American World Boxing Councilk/World Boxing Association 147-pound titleholder.

?Kapatid ko si Manny, siyempre pipiliin ko siyang manalo like I picked him to win in all his previous fights,? Bobby Pacquiao volunteered first. ?Pero hindi lang yun ang dahilan. The biggest reasons is, I know Manny, he?s my brother at alam ko ang situwasyon niya ngayon.?

?I could be biased, but I have never seen Manny as prepared as now. Hindi pa na-aprobahan ang laban niya at pinapag-usapan pa lamang at the start of this year, nagsimula na siyang mag-ensayo. Light nga lang at pa-jogging-jogging lang. titigil sandali sa gym at magsi-shadow box.?

?Pero feeling ko, may nakikita siyang pagasa na matutuloy ang laban. January pa lang noon,? Bobby, a former WBC/WBO international junior lightweight titlist disclosed.?

When Mayweather announced his approval to make the fight, almost two months nang nag-e-ensayo si Manny bago pa lang mag-pitch ng camp sa GenSan late February.?

?Doon mo makikita ang determinasyon at dedication niya sa training. Ngayon pa lang, three weeks before the actual fight. Tingin ko, kung bukas na ang laban, fight na si Manny. Hinog na hinog na siya,? Bobby quipped.

?Not only that, as I observe him train, tingin ko galit si Manny,? brother-in-law and Pacquiao?s personal masseur Tibo Jumalan butted in. "I have been in Manny?s camp for the past ive years at ngayon ko lang siya nakitang galit. Sa sparring, sa mitts kahit pagsuntok sa bags and balls, you can see anger in his eyes.?

?Yung mga sinasabi ng media that he?s injured that hampers his training, pigment of their imagination lang yun. Manny doesn?t mind that. A preacher as he is, often tells me a verse in Isaiah 44-10 which says ?I?m with you, there?s no need to fear. I?m your God, I will give you strength. I will help you go steady. Keep a firm grip on your faith.?

?Manny Is now a methodical fighter. He?s learned his lessons from his near-career ending KO loss to (Juan Manuel),? Pacquiao?s public information officer Aquiles Zonio assessed. He?s now a wiser man, stronger, faster and a more dangerous opponent.?

Members of Pacquiao?s security group ? Jimmy Zuno, Dodong Librando and Clem Ascencio as transportation group member Rainier ?Chong? Dedicatoria ? shared Bobby, Tibo and Aquil?s view.

?I admire Manny?s dedication to training. It?s still a long way to go before fight night, but I already see his strength and speed back as when he was still an up-and-coming fighter.,? Zuno noted.

?Manny waited for five years for this fight to materialize at sabik na sabik na siyang lumaban ngayon pa lang,? Dodong Librando, for his part said. ?Ipupusta ko ang monthly pay kong $4,500 na mananalo si Manany.?

?For claiming that Manny is the Side-B in this fight and he should dominate, I believe Manny will prove the other way and win over Mayweather,? Ascencio said. ?Manny will win for a rematch to happen and in both fights, kawawa si Floyd.?

?Kakaiba ang lakas ni Manny ngayon,? Dedicatoria said. ?Sobra-sobra pati resistenya. Palagay ko may paglalagyan si Mayweather. Dapat nga siyang kabahan kay Manny kasi nakakatanggap na siya ng report from his spies who had penetrated into Mannys? camp.?
