LAS VEGAS--Award-winning trainer Freddie Roach will personally make sure that nothing controversial takes place in the wrapping of the hand of Floyd Mayweather Jr on Saturday (Sunday in Philippines).

According to Golden Boy Promotions vice-president Eric Gomez, Roach will oversee the taping of Mayweather Jr's hands to make sure everything will be above board.

Renowned cutman Joe Chavez will tape De la Hoya's hands, although it was not known who will be watching over from Mayweather's camp while Chavez tapes Oscar's hands.

De la Hoya and Mayweather took part in today's final press conference at the Hollywood Theater of the MGM Grand, where close to 2,000 mediamen from all over the world were in attendance.

Roger Mayweather, who trains Floyd Jr., lambasted and insulted Freddie Roach during his turn at the podium, but the classy Bostonian took everything in stride and did not say anything nasty except to invite the fans to watch the fight.
