MANILA ? Vice President Jejomar Binay invited world eight-division boxing champion and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao to a private lunch on Thursday at the Coconut Palace here.

Also present during the meeting was United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) spokesperson and Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco and Pacquiao?s Canadian adviser Michael Koncz.

Pacquiao claimed their conversation was focused mainly on his May 2 mega-buck fight against undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

?Our conversation was about my forthcoming fight with Mayweather, Jr. Of course, we also talked a little about the Mamasapano incident. Nothing was discussed about election. It?s still far away,? Pacquiao said.

During the discussion, Pacquiao bared that not just the ticket prices for the superfight are skyrocketing but including the hotel rates in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao bared that this time he could hardly grant the request of some of his close friends asking for complimentary tickets.

?This time the tickets are limited because they are so expensive and we don?t have the control. Mayweather promotion is the one in control,? Pacquiao said.

Tiangco claimed he booked a hotel room much earlier because he had already anticipated that hotels in Las Vegas would be fully-booked due to influx of people who want to watch the fight live.

The Vice President told Pacquiao he would just be watching the fight at the Coconut Palace.

Pacquiao, afterward, proceeded to his boxing gym at MP Tower in Sampaloc, Manila to continue his light training.
