WITH his permission, Dr. Aparicio H. Mequi, PhD, is hereby being identified as the respected source behind the previous column entitled ?Terrorist threat in PH basketball.?

The revealing conversation resumes:

Dr. Mequi says: ?May I urge you to write a series exposing this anomalous status of Philippine basketball?

Why anomalous, sir?

?Despite the decisions of the Supreme Court and the international court for sports arbitration declaring the illegality of the BAP and vesting the SBP with the sole right to manage PH basketball, the BAP persists as if they still are legit.?

**

How serious is it,, sir?

?This is impunity in PH basketball, the sport of the Filipino children, youth and the masses.?

What do you suggest, sir?

?I suggest that you take up the challenge to put a stop to the impunity and ?terrorism? in PH basketball.?

Whose behind these illegal acts?

?This basketball ?terrorism? is being led by Sonny Trillanes who, shameful, is leading the disgraced BAP in organizing and officiating basketball tournaments which Graham Lim and other Binondo syndicates help inflict on PH sports.?

**

Do you mean here Sen. Antonio Trillanes?

?Yes, Sen. Trillanes who projects himself as a ?crusader? is actually a law breaker.?

Incredible.

?The culture of impunity that?s the cancer destroying our country has infested even PH basketball. And the guy leading the ?crusade? against Revilla, Estrada, Enrile and Binay is breaking the law by allowing himself to be BAP president.?

How really bad is it?

?What if Binay finds out that Trillanes, according to lawyers, could be sued because of his being president of BAP. I suspect this is the reason MVP (Manny V. Pangilinan) and his gutless crew are quiet.?

(To be continued)
