Philippine superfly champion Eden 'Magnifico' Sonsona will have a tough defense of his title when he takes on challenger Marvin Tampos in a 12-round scorcher topbilling the 'Bakbakan sa Binangonan' on April 21 at the Ynares Plaza in Binangonan, Rizal.

The fight pits the skillful Sonsona against the power-punching Tampos, a protege of Rex 'Wakee' Salud and a former PABA light-flyweight titlist.

"I'm ready to rock his world. I have prepared long and hard for this fight. My hands are good, and I feel very healthy," informed Tampos in an exclusive interview yesterday after his training at the RWS Gym. "I am ready to go even for 15 rounds!" Tampos added.

Tampos departs for Manila today with his trainer Brix Flores, while manager Rex 'Wakee' Salud departs on Saturday.

The chief support pits Nino Suelo against Brian Vicera in a ten-rounder, while Ariel Delgado battles Edgar Gabejan in another 10-round face-off.

Richard Olisa takes on Arman Casa in the third 10-round supporting tiff.

The rest of the bouts pit Daniel Fereras versus Geno Quilitar; Ronelle Fereras against Manny Baguio; Aldren Guara versus John Mark Villareal; Ronald Pontillas versus Jessie Caballes; Marvin Sonsona versus Joe Galamiton; and Quilver Cailing against Rey Aclo.

The event is presented by In This Corner, in cooperation with the Rizal Provincial Government headed by Governor Ito Ynares and Mayor Cesar Ynares.
