Macau, China-Oozing with confidence and perhaps pride, Mommy D, Dionisia Dapidran Pacquiao in real life, the mother of boxing icon, Manny Pacquiao arrived here with boyfriend in tow, Michael Yamson, during the weigh-in of the much awaited "Clash in Cotai II" between Manny and Chris Algieri.

"I am overwhelmed, this is my first time," Yamson 38, told PhilBoxing / MetroCebu News in between sidelines of the weigh-in held inside the Cotai Arena of the Venetian Macao.

The duo both arrived wearing red colored suits which somehow tickled the fans, including those of Mommy D. herself who was also mobbed by some of them who trooped to the arena as early as 7:00 a.m. to watch the weigh in that started thirty minutes after.

Algieri, the challenger initially hit the scales a little overweight, 144.2 pounds for the contracted weight of 144 lbs. which needed him two hours to get rid of the extra poundage. Pacquiao on the other hand appeared very much in physical condition as he came in at 143.8.

Pacquiao said he wanted to show his stuff like what he was in his younger days.

"I am just trying to show my speed. (inaudible) I want to get back my hungerness (sic) and aggressiveness when I was young," the defending WBO welterweight champion told those in attendance.

The slightly overweight challenger on the other hand said he wanted to prove something to the fight fans.

Meanwhile, Mommy Dionisia who obliged to posed for photographs with her own legion of fans said that she is confident that her son would emerge the victor.

"Hindi pa tapos ang laban niya may victory na ako (Even if the fight is not yet done, i already claim victory)," the 65 year-old mother of Pacquiao told scribes in explaining while she appeared in red clothes during the weigh-in.

Mommy D said, it will be the fourth time tomorrow that she will be watching the fight of her son at ring side. Also around to cheer for Manny is his wife, Jinkee, the Vice Governor of Sarangani and their children who flew in later after the Pacquiao couple arrived her last Nov.17 via Air-Asia, the official airline of Team Pacquiao for this fight promoted by Bob Arum of Top Rank.

After doing some slight work out, Algieri finally hit the agreed catch weight, 143.6 lbs making the tale of the tape, 143.8 for Pacquiao.
