CARSON, CA -- Jason Quigley (2-0-0, 1KO) of Donegal, Ireland was impressive with his initial fight at the StubHub gaining a decent win over Fernando Najera (1-4-0, 0KO) of Tijuana , MX. Najera appears to be fighting two opponents- the Irishman and his very lose mouthguard which keeps on slipping off so he had to bite it down tightly. The only thing nice about the mouthguard was its bright yellow color.
The two fighters elicited a lot of reaction from the crowd with a slambang third round highlighted by a torrid exchange on ring center that resulted a cut on the left eyebrow of Najera. At the end of the round and after checking their fighter, Najera's corner informed referee Ray Corona that he was done for the day. Corona then declared the fight as over.
