WILDER, LINARES WIN BY KNOCKNOUTS

Stubhub Center, CARSON, CA -- In the 7th bout of the night on the undercard of Shawn Porter-Kill Brook boxing card, Deontay Wilder (32-0-0, 32KO) of Tuscaloosa, AL carried Jason Gavern (25-17-4, 11KO) of Orlando, Florida for 4 rounds knocking him down in round three with what appeared to be a push and twice in round 4 but with legit hits. Referee Jack Reiss waved the fight off right after checking Govern as he sat on his stool after the round (top photo).

In the 6th fight, Veteran Jorge Linares (37- 3-0, 24 KO) of Barina, Venezuela imposed his will on Ira Terry (26-12-0, 15 KO) of Memphis, Tenn right from the start finally knocking him out for good at 1:21 of round 2 (below photo).
