MORE UNDERCARD RESULTS: SHABRANSKY, DAWSON WIN

Vyacheslav Shabransky (9-0-0, 7KO) of Los Angeles via Ukraine dropped Michael Gbenga 23-6-0,16 KO of Orlando, FL early in round 1 with a series of body shots.

Round 2 and 3 was more of the same with the Ukrainian raining unanswered power shots as the bell ended each round. Gbenga however showed tremendous resiliency coming back after getting numerous power shots to dish out a few of his own.

Gbenga was dropped in round 4 but it was ruled as a slip. He was deducted one point thereafter after rushing in with his head like a bull in a Spanish Corrida de Toro.

Round 5 show Shabransky utilizing well timed body shots peppered with occasional uppercuts.Gbenga now shows signs of being tired and was dropped after missing a wild swing. It was a slip, the ref ruled.

Round 6 was the final round. Gbenga once again fell forward as he let go of a straight right during an exchange Again ruled as a slip.

Fight ended with both boxers on their feet. In the end Shabransky was ruled the winner by a UD. Scores: 60-52,60-52,59-53.


Chad Dawson (33-3-0, 18K0) of New Haven Connecticut dropped Georges Blades (23-6-0, 16K0) of Orlando, Fl twice in round one en route to a K0 at 2:35 sec.


Dominic Breazeale 11-0-1, 9KO of Alhambra, CA 11-0-0,10K0 stopped Davin Vargas 18-4-0,7KO of Toledo, OH. Vargas turned his back at the middle of round three complaining that he was hit at the back of the head. The ref thought nothing of it and waved off the fight. Vargas pulled the same trick the previous round and complained about "back of the head" hits but ref ignored him.
