
CHAMPIONS OF GOLD JULY 19 IN MACAU

MACAU ? Top Rank?s next big card at the Cotai Arena was officially announced in a press conference held Saturday afternoon. CHAMPIONS OF GOLD will be headlined by Chinese superstar Zou Shiming (4-0,1KO).
Zou is one of the two active pro boxers with two Olympic gold medals. The other , Guillermo Rigondeaux of Cuba, will also appear on the card.
Also set to appear are Brian ?The Hawaiian Punch? Viloria, Esquiva Falcao of Brazil, Rex Tso of Hong Kong and 2012 Olympics light heavyweight gold medalist Egor Mekhontsev of Russia.
Top Rank CEO Bob Arum also announced that the blockbuster fight in New York between Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez will be shown here on large screens on closed circuit pay per view at the Venetian Macau, Sands Cotai and at the Bellini Blalroom. This card will also feature two boxers who fought here in Macau ? Marvin Sonsona vs Wilfredo Vazquez,Jr.
Zou Shiming stated during the press launching that his dream is not only to win a world title but to promote professional boxing here in China.He dreams that someday China will have the same appreciation of boxing as that of Cuba.
Top Rank will also have a boxing television program here showing the latest boxing news and archives from classic fights hosted by Shiming?s wife Ying Ying.
Arum also said that Manny Pacquiao?s next fight will be officially announced in the next two weeks.
