EARLY RESULTS FROM LAS VEGAS: OGOGO, THEOPHANE REGISTER KO WINS

MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA, LAS VEGAS -- The undercard fights of 'The Moment' Floyd Mayweather vs Marcos Maidana welterweight championship are underway as British Olympian Anthony Ogogo (6-0-0, 3KO) of Norfolk, UK stops Jonuel Tapia (8-5-1, 5KO) of Bronx, NY (top photo) in round 3 of their 8-round scheduled middleweight bout. Referee Jay Nady stopped the fight after several unanswered punches to the head by Ogogo on Tapia. Time of stoppage is at 46 seconds of the third round.
Ashley Theophane (35-6-1, 11KO) of Las Vegas, NV drops Angino Perez (15-5-0, 13KO) of Miami FL in round 2 and batters him around in round 4 leading Referee Kenny Bayless to stop the fight at 2:24 of the round. Theophane wins by TKO.
In the second bout, Lanell Bellows (7-1-1, 6KO) of Las Vegas, NV wins by TKO in round 2 over Thomas Gifford (2-2-1, 1KO) of Hot Springs, AR. Time of stoppage is at 1:17.
