
FACE OFF 2: PHL AZKALS VS MALAYSIA TIGERS

CEBU- Football fans are expected to troop to the Cebu City Sports Center tomorrow for the highly anticipated international friendly between the Philippines Azkals and the Tigers of Malaysia.
This game will mark to the first home match for the new Azkals coach Thomas Dooley. This will also be the Philippine team?s last game before the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup in Maldives next month.
During the press conference held today at the Cebu Parklane International Hotel, Dooley highlighted the need for the Azkals to play simple football and create more scoring chances. ?I know they can play the game the way I want the game to be played.?.
The Philippines held Malaysia to a 0-0 score in Dooley?s first test as new coach last March 1 in Malaysia?s Selayang Municipal Council Stadium. This is the second time the Azkals will play a friendly in Cebu City. In 2012 in the event billed as Face Off?Philippines vs. Singapore, the Philippine team beat Singapore, 1-0.

Anton del Rosario will be the designated Azkals team captain for Sunday?s match. During the presscon, he said that, ?It is an honor, I know I have big shoes to fill. But I can?t wait, the guys are ready.?
Malaysia team captain Abd Radzak Mohamad Aidil Zafuan stated that his team ?is still trying to gel well, I am also new in my role as a player. We are looking forward and preparing for the AFC Suzuki Cup? Malaysia head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee expects a good game.

The head of the security for the event, Nimrod Quinones, also has a message for the fans who will be there during the event: ?Please do not bring bottled liquids, no sharp objects, no lighters, no pyrotechnics, no poles, no umbrellas. They will be confiscated. And obviously no illegal drugs.?
Fans are advised to come early,kickoff time on Sunday April 27 will be at 7PM.
