Unbeaten Nicaraguan super slugger Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (R) weighed-in at 112.25 lbs, while Filipino Juan "The Punisher" Purisima (11-4-1, 4 KO's) of Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, tipped the scales at 112 lbs ahead of their 8-rounder non-title flyweight clash tomorrow at Ota-City General Gym in Tokyo, Japan.

The "Chocolatito" Gonzalez vs Juan Purisima rumble is one of the preliminaries of the main event headlined by the 3rd defense of Japanese WBC Flyweight world Akira Yaegashi (19-3, 9 KO's) against Mexican Odilon "Ol?mpico" Zaleta (15-3, 8 KO's) of Chihuahua, M?xico.

The WBC officials for the Akira Yaegashi VS Odilon Zaleta 112-pound title war are: Referee Ian John-Lewis of Kent, United Kingdom. Judges Guido Cavalleri of Italy, Jun-Bae Lim of Seoul, South Korea and Steve Morrow of California USA.

The 2-division world champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (38-0, 32 KO's) aims at convincingly defeating "The Punisher" Purisima in order to challenge the Japanese World Champ Akira Yaegashi in Japan this fall.

In principle, the Yaegashi vs Gonzalez fight has been agreed upon by promotional companies Teiken Boxing, Ohashi Promotions and Prodesa; but 22-year-old Filipino "The Punisher" Purisima is in Japan in fighting-mode, ready to spoil these plans.

Mexican WBC Flyweight World Champion Adri?n El Confessor Hern?ndez (L) defends against Japanese Naoya Inoue of Yokohama

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman with Card Promoter Hideyuki Ohashi today in Japan.

Also in the card, WBC 108-pounder world champ Adri?n "El Confessor" Hern?ndez (29-2-1, 18 KO's) of Toluca, M?xico, shaved his head to make the 5th defense of his Green/Golden belt from fast fist of 20-year-old fast Japanese rookie Naoya "Monster" Inoue (5-0, 4 KO's) of Yokohama.

This seems an easy defense for an experience warrior as the 28 year-old Mexican "Confessor," though the young Japanese samurai wants to be champion of the world. Will Inoue be able to defeat this solid Mexican world champion?

Officials for the Hernandez VS Inoue WBC world title battle are: third man Michael Griffin of Montreal, Canada. Judges Steve Morrow of California USA, Guido Cavalleri of Bergamo, Italy and Don Griffin of Texas, USA.

All warriors in the title fights made weight successfully, ready for the big fun tomorrow.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman of M?xico is in Japan attending the exciting double WBC world title event.

The fight card tomorrow night (Sunday April 6) in Tokyo is a production of promoter Hideyuki Ohashi of Ohashi Promotions to be broadcast live on open TV in Japan.
