VETYEKA-DONAIRE FINALIZED FOR MAY 31 IN MACAU

MACAU ? The highly-anticipated world title fight between WBA and IBO featherweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka of South Africa and 4-division world champion Nonito Donaire Jr of the Philippines has been finalized moments ago, International matchmaker and promoter Sampson Lewkowicz, told Philboxing as he emerged from the Top Rank office at the Venetian where he had a long talk with Top Rank officials headed by Bob Arum.
?Everything is done,? Lewkowicz, who represented Dragon Fire Promotions who has an option with Vetyeka after the South African defeated Dragon Fire's long time WBA world champion Chris John last Dec. 6 in Australia, Vetyeka's manager Andile Sidineli and Vetyeka's adviser Branco Milenkovic. ?Everyone's happy and we get all what we wanted,? Lewkowicz said. Top Rank represented Donaire in the negotiations as its promoter.
The fight is set at The Venetian's 15,000 capacity CotaiArena on May 31.
