CEBU CITY- In what has become a tradition here in the country?s boxing capital, a free to public boxing event will be held simultaneously with one of the biggest festivals in the Philippines. With tens of thousands of tourists expected to mix with the locals dancing in the streets during the Sinulog parade, fight fans will troop to watch four pairs of pro boxers and added amateur fights this Sunday evening.

Unbeaten Roland ?Momoy? Servania (5W-0L, 1 KO) of the ALA Gym will mix it up with Dingdong Quinones (3W-7L-1D,1KO) in the six round main event at the Gaisano Country Mall Parking Lot.

Servania weighed in at 119 lbs while Quinones was half a pound heavier during the weigh-in held Saturday morning at the GAB Cebu office supervised by GAB-OIC Celso Miranda. Roland is the brother of WBO Intercontinental superbantamweight titlist Genesis ?Azukal? Servania.

In what promises to steal thunder from the main event, Cuban boxer Reymi Castellano Aleye will make his Philippine debut against battle tested Rodel Wenceslao of the Phil-Aust Gym of Mandaue City. Aleye was an experienced amateur who once fought Guillermo Rigondeaux. He had two professional bouts in Cambodia, winning both, before deciding to practice his craft here in Cebu.

Wenceslao (7-6-1, 2 KO) scored an upset last October by beating former WBO Oriental titlist Anthony ?Rocky? Marcial by TKO in the 4th at the Makati Coliseum. Aleye weighed in at 131 lbs while Wenceslao was 132.5 lbs. They will fight for six rounds.

Also set to see action are Jonas Sultan (116lbs) vs Marlon Macayan (114.5lbs) in a four rounder. Jonas is the brother of former WBF and PABA welterweight titlist Dondon Sultan. Opening the pro contests will be Jess Rhey Waminal (115 lbs) vs. Jerome Baja (115 lbs) in a four round bout.

The pro fights will start at 7 p.m. The bouts are presented by ALA Boxing and Fitness Gym and Fungisol.
