
PAGARA HEADLINES ALA-COBRA CARD IN DUMAGUETE

DUMAGUETE CITY - "Prince" Albert Pagara (17W-0L, 12 KO?s) of the ALA gym will be pitted against Gadwin Tubigon (9W-7L?2D, 4 KO?s) of Zamboanga del Norte in the ten round main event of the ALA-Cobra "Tunay na Lakas" fight card this Saturday December 7 at the Freedom Park of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Pagara weighed in at 126 lbs while Tubigon was a half pound heavier during the official weigh-in held Friday noon supervised by Rolando Mendoza of GAB-Cebu. Pagara was supposed to fight Ruben Manakane of Indonesia in Maasin City for the second installment of ALA Promotions? IDOL but the card was called off after Typhoon Yolanda hit the country.
The 19 year old Pagara?s last fight was at the Solaire Resort and Casino last July when he stopped Khunkhiri Wor Wisaruth of Thailand in two rounds. This fight was on the undercard of Merlito Sabillo?s successful defense of his WBO minimumweight crown against Jorle Estrada of Colombia.
The 29 year old Tubigon's last fight was a unanimous decision win against Donriel Marcos. Tubigon has lost to the likes of Adones Aguelo, James Bacon, Eden Sonsona and RJ Anoos.
Another undefeated ALA Boxing Gym boxer, Juren ?Turbo? Labordo (11-0, 7KOs) will face Jaymart Toyco (13-4, 9KOs) of Paranaque City in the 10-round co-main attraction. Both boxers stepped on the scales at 115 lbs.
Also set to see action are Roma Rate (111.5lbs) vs Reymond Tabogon (112lbs) - 8 rounds, Boyce Sultan (127lbs) vs Royroy Sumugat (125.75lbs) ? 8 rounds, Kim Galon (105) vs Belmar Plaza (106.5) - 6 rounds, Raul Yu (115.75lbs) vs Andrew Palas (114.5) - 6 rounds, Geo Santisima (122.5lbs) vs Jamjam Ungon (123.75lbs) ? 4 rounds and Jay Solomon (114lbs) vs Eddie Liparanon (113.75lbs) ? 4 rounds. This card is part of the nationwide fight series of ALA Promotions and Cobra Energy Drink.
