Promoter Aljoe Jaro visited Manny Pacquiao?s training camp last November 11 and observed the proceedings for three days and was totally impressed by the boxing icon?s tough regimen.
?I think he is now at ninety percent with a couple of weeks to go before he fights,? Jaro informed philboxing via e-mail, ?I estimate in one day, he did the equivalent of thirty rounds, including the 14 rounds of punch mitts with Coach Freddie Roach.?
?It was so easy for him to spar with Dan Nazareno and the English boxer (Liam Vaughan) for 4 rounds each. He could reach 100 precent when he leaves for Macau on the 18th. ? Jaro stated that the old Pacquiao is still there, ?The power is still there, his moves haven?t changed.
?The early rounds will be crucial, whether its Pacquiao or Brandon Rios who will land a hard punch first. But I feel Pacquiao still has the advantage,? Jaro assessed. ?His speed is still there and he will be hard to hit. He is focused, no distractions and training with Freddie is going very well.?
Pacquiao will face Rios in Macau on Nov. 24.
