Promoter Aljoe Jaro and Hong Kong boxing star Rex Tso will be going to Gen. Santos City to join Manny Pacquiao?s training camp. Jaro informed philboxing that they plan to be there Thursday which will coincide with the arrival of the Hong Kong media who will cover Pacquiao?s training camp for his upcoming fight against Brandon Rios in Macau.
Jaro said that they will link up with Jay Lau, who manages Tso and is the CEO and President of DEF Promotions in Hong Kong. Tso has been training in Jaro?s gym for his undercard appearance on the Pacquiao-Rios fight.
?Rex is now 80% in his conditioning, we will need a little polishing to reach our target of 101% before his fight at the Venetian on November 24.? Jaro stated. ?I am personally supervising his training and I have noticed a great improvement. I have applied new things, not textbook stuff, I?ll just call it ?exotic training?.?
The 26 year old Tso (10W-0L, 6 KO?s) has been going back to train at the Jaro Boxing Gym in Binangonan, Rizal since he won the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) super flyweight title last December by stopping Timur Shailezov of Kyrgyzstan in ten rounds in a fight held in Hong Kong. In his first defense, he beat Thai veteran Wandee Singwangcha by fourth round TKO last May also in Hong Kong. Last July 27, Tso beat Ruslee Samor of Thailand by majority decision on the undercard of ?FISTS OF GOLD II? in Macau.
