Downtown Los Angeles:- Top Rank Promotions, its partners (Banner and Zanfer Promotions) and sponsors for Saturday?s big fight at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA., held the final press conference for main event fighters moments ago.

The following are some of the quotes from those that spoke on the podium after a sumptuous luncheon served by the crew at Biltmore Hotel in this city:

Bob Arum in reference to Friday?s weigh-in: ?This will be the first weigh-in when you know what the official weight is when they step on the scale.?





Julio Cesar Chavez Jr:- ?I promise the best Julio you?ve ever seen.?

Artie Pelullo (Banner Promotions):- ?Bryan Vera didn?t hesitate to say yes when asked if he wanted to fight Chavez.?

Cesar Chavez Sr.:- ?We know that my son is in a tough fight on Saturday. But we know he?s gonna come with the victory. My son and Bryan Vera are gonna give a sensational fight this Saturday.?

Fernando Beltran (Zanfer Promotions) ?Come early and enjoy the matches are all fairly even.?

Bryan Vera: ?I am just thankful for this opportunity and I look forward to the fight.?

Also present at the press conference were two former Olympians who will fight on the undercard, Jose Ramirez of Avenal, CA (5-0-0,4KO) and Oscar Valdez of Nogales, MX (6-0-0, 5KO) Ramirez fights Daniel Calzada of Denver, CO (8-8-2,1KO) while Valdez will tangle with Joe Morales also of Denver, CO. ( 7-4-1, 1KO).
