Two young prospects from the Aljoe Jaro Stable will be gunning for regional belts this October 19. Jomar Fajardo (12W-4L-1D, 5 KO?s) will face Robel Villegas (9W-7L, 3 KO?s) of Elorde Boxing Gym for the vacant WBC ABCO jr. flyweight championship. This will be the first attempt to win a regional title for the 21 year old Fajardo, who is coming off a ten round unanimous decision win over Ruther del Castillo last May. The 25 year old Villegas lost to Jerson Mancio last May in his attempt to in the Philippine junior flyweight title. Fajardo vs Villegas is set for twelve rounds.

Lionel Legada (10-5-1, 5 KO?s) will fight for the vacant WBC ABCO continental flyweight championship against Mark Duran of the Elorde Boxing Gym. Legada is coming off a split decision loss to China?s Wang Xin Hua in Dubai last June. This bout was on the undercard of Denver Cuello?s ill-fated attempt to win the WBC world strawweight title against Xiong Zhao Zhong of China; Cuello lost a majority decision when he fought with an injured shoulder. The 23 year old Legada was also Cuello?s sparring partner in Dubai.

The 22 year old Duran (10-8-2, 4 Ko?s) is also coming off a points loss overseas against Yusuke Sakashita of Japan in Tokyo. Last May, he stopped Junjie Lauza in three rounds. Legada vs Duran is also set for twelve rounds.

Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that there will be more exciting match-ups on the undercards with a maximum of 70 rounds of professional boxing. This fight card is set at the Ynares Plaza in Binangonan Rizal. This boxing event is presented by Jaro International Promotions and Atty. Ruben Platon in cooperation with Naris Singwangcha, Mayor Boyet Ynarez and Gov. Nini Ynares.

The Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) is a confederation affiliated with the World Boxing Council (WBC).
