(www.mannypinol.com) -- Roskie "Kapre" Cristobal, the 5' 10" tall fighter from President Roxas, North Cotabato scored his fifth straight victory as a professional boxer last night in M'lang, North Cotabato disposing of his opponent with one powerful left straight in the first round of a scheduled 4-round bout.

Cristobal, who just turned 19, threw all caution to the wind and in several instances pursued his opponent, Michael Manambay, recklessly, showing how rough and raw he is as a fighter.

Using his longer reach, Cristobal, a product of the grassroots boxing program of Pres. Roxas, North Cotabato under former boxer now councilor Ramuel Ovalo, caught Manambay with a powerful left straight towards the dying seconds of the first round sending his opponent to the canvas.

Referee Felizardo Resma waved off the fight after determining that Manambay was not fit to continue the fight.

In scoring his fifth 1st round knockout victory, Cristobal also showed recklessness perhaps confident of his power, an attitude which could prove to be very dangerous.

All of his previous fights which started when he was only 17, all ended in the first round with about of these knockouts scored with his powerful and long left.

Cristobal, however, has the tendency to get overly excited during the fights, perhaps because of his youth, and leaves himself dangerously open counterpunches.

For a very tall fighter, however, Cristobal shows a lot of speed and dexterity inside the ring, something which is not commonly seen in big Filipino boxers.

Following a review of the vide of his fight Sunday night, the Braveheart Boxing Club, owned by the Pinol Brothers of North Cotabato, has decided to send Cristobal to a foreign training camp, either in the United States or Mexico, to ensure that his full potentials as developed.

The decision was also made because of the fact that since Cristobal is campaigning in the lightweight division now and is expected to grow taller and heavier, there will not be a lot of competition for him locally.

Negotiations are now being made through former Manny Pacquiao physical therapist Jeff de Guzman to bring Cristobal to a training camp in Mexico City where he will undergo rigorous preparation for the expected long years in boxing.
