ALEJANDRO PEREZ ALL FIRED UP FOR TOMORROW'S FIGHT AT HOLLYWOOD PARK CASINO

Alejandro Perez of Salinas, the young man they call ?El Alacran? and a main fixture at the Wildcard Gym in Hollywood, is all set and ready to go against Edgar Riovalle (35-14-2, 25KO) of Mexico City in tomorrow?s main event of a Top Rank Promotions at Hollywood Park Casino done in cooperation with Bash Boxing and Art of Boxing.

The fight will be televised on UNIMAS TV.

Perez who is trained by Hector Valladarez grew up from his bantamweight days to a full blown 130 pounder and is now campaigning as a junior lightweight.

His first foray at that weight was against a very tough slugger named Art Hovannessyan.

He upset the slick Armenian and won the WBO NABO Super featherweight belt. Perez then decided that 130 will be the best weight for him from then on will fight at that weight.

Perez who was born in Michoacan, MX and grew up in the fertile fields of Salinas, California. have over 40 amateur fights before he turned pro. He was a local winner of the Silver Gloves Amateur Series.. His pro record is now 17-3-1, 11KO

Perez won his first fight and then had a draw on his second fight before he racked up 11 straight wins. Then he run into a brick wall named Adolfo Landeros who then had a (19-10-1 record and lost via a split decision. He won two more wins after that and then lost to Rico Ramos. Following that he beat Antonio Escalante before losing to Diego Magdaleno..He recovered to win over Derrik Wilson via KO and then a UD over Hovannessyan.

Tomorrow Perez is eager to show that in his new weight division, he can better perform and hopefully go on to win a world title. With Top Rank on his back, that is not too distant from happening.

Tomorrow?s events start at 6:00 PM with a full blown undercard and the TV fights starts at 8:00PM
