
CUELLO AND ZHONG MAKE WEIGHT FOR WBC TITLE FIGHT IN DUBAI

WBC strawweight champion Xiong Zhao Zhong of China and challenger Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello of the Philippines made the division limit during the official weigh-in held Thursday at the Moevenpick Hotel Battuta Dubai UAE. Cuello weighed 103.8 lbs while Zhong stepped on the scales at 105 lbs.
Promoter Aljoe Jaro updated philboxing of the weigh-in results. Jaro said the hundreds of fans witnessed the free to the public weigh-in.
The title fight will be held Friday and gates open at 7PM. The first fight of the evening will commence at 8PM and Cuello and Zhong will enter the ring at 10PM Dubai Time.
Philippine Time is four hours ahead of Dubai.
This will be the first world title shot for the 26 year old Cuello (33W-4L-6D, 21 KO?s), who is the mandatory challenger. The 30 year old Zhong (20W-4L-1D, 11 KO?s) became China?s first professional boxing champion when he beat Mexico?s Javier Martinez Rezendiz by unanimous decision.
