World title challenger Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello made a guest appearance in Dubai?s Filipino night club CLUB 7 which drew members of the Filipino community who mobbed him for photos and autographs.
Cuello also gave away 10 Platinum VIP tickets for his title bout against WBC strawweight champion Xiong Zhao Zhong of China on Friday June 28 to lucky fans who answered his questions during a Q and A segment of the program.
Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that Denver is training at KO Gym at the Marina Area Dubai and he already finished the target of 112 rounds of sparring for this title bout. Cuello sparred with stablemate Lionel Legada for four rounds in his final session and hit the punch mitts for 6 rounds, pounded the heavy Bag for 6 rounds then performed shadow boxing exercises spending a total of 1 ? hours inside the gym. Team Cuello also reviewed their battle plan for this all-important fight.
CUELLO?S WEIGHT ON TARGET
Jaro also updated that the WBC official supervised the 7 day pre-fight weigh inside the KO GYM. Denver weighed 110lbs, the exact target for the 7 days weight limit before the fight while Zhong was lighter at 109lbs. Jaro is confident Denver will not have any trouble making 105 lbs during the official weigh-in one day before the fight.
On Sunday, Cuello was jogging at the Jumeirah Beach and they will spend Monday at the KO Gym. Team Cuello is requesting Filipino fans for prayers and support for this world title challenge on June 28 and they hope to bring another world crown for the Philippines.
