CEBU CITY ? World title challenger Milan ?El Metodico? Melindo moved his training regimen up a notch for his highly anticipated challenge against WBO/WBA flyweight champion Juan Francisco ?El Gallo? Estrada of Mexico next month in Macau.

Melindo (29W-0L, 12 KO?s) sparred with three undefeated boxers in a torrid sparring session Tuesday afternoon at the ALA Gym. OPBF superflyweight champion Arthur Villanueva, up and coming superflyweight Melvin Gumban and bantamweight Brian Lobitania engaged Melindo in fast paced exchanges of body and head combinations.

Melindo knows he needs to be in terrific shape against the resilient Estrada (23W-2L, 18 KO?s) who is expected to rely on his toughness and debilitating body punches.

ALA Promotions VP Dennis Ca?ete told philboxing that they will also make sure Melindo will get the right diet and nutrients needed to make him fight a higher level. Estrada made a name for himself for his gallant but losing effort against WBA lt.flyweight champ Roman Gonzales and when he dethroned Brian Viloria last April at the Cotai Arena in Macau.

Blue chip superbantamweight contender Genesis ?Azukal? Sevania, who is also penned to appear on the July 27 Macau fight card, had an intense sparring session with another undefeated prospect, Albert Pagara.

?Prince? Albert is being tapped to fight on the undercard of Merlito Sabillo?s defense of his WBO minimumweight title on July 13 at the Solaire Resort Hotel and Casino in Pasay City against Colombia?s Jorle Estrada.
