Tapales.
Superflyweight prospect Marlon Tapales (21W-2L, 8 KO's) will be fighting in Japan on May 26 against Carlos Ruben Dario Ruiz (16W-2L, 10 KO's) of Argentina. RWS Promotions and Tapales' trainer Juanito Ablaca informed philboxing regarding this match-up.

This will be the first fight in Japan for the 21 year old Tapales and his first outing since he suffered a majority decision loss to David Sanchez in a WBC Silver title bout held in Mexico.

The 27 year old Ruiz' last fight was in Japan last April and he won by first round TKO against Takashi Nishimura. Last year, Ruiz won the interim WBO Latino flyweight title by unanimous decision against Carlos Ariel Farias.

Ablaca also informed that Tapales vs. Ruiz will be in a card held in Kanazawa City promoted by Japanese promoter Naoyuki Kashimi.

Boxrec.com also lists Filipino boxers Mark Gil Melligen and Jonathan Baat fighting separate opponents in this card.
