
WEIGHTS FROM MACAU: VILORIA HEADS STELLAR PINOY CAST (PHOTOS)

MACAU - WBO/WBA flyweight champion Brian ?The Hawaiian Punch? Viloria (32W-3L, 19 KO?s)and Mexican challenger Juan Francisco ?El Gallo? Estrada (22W-2L, 18 KO?s) easily made weight during the official weigh-in held Friday afternoon at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. Viloria stepped on the scales at 111.2 lbs while Estrada weighed in at the flyweight limit of 112 lbs. Viloria, who traces his roots to the Ilocos Region, will have a Filipino in his corner, assistant trainer Marvin Somodio on fight night.

Milan ?El Metodico? Melindo of the ALA Gym will risk his record and ranking against Indonesian Tommy Seran (10W-1L, 9 KO?s) in a ten round non-title contest. Melindo (28W-0L, 11 KO?s) weighed 112.6 lbs while the taller Seran stepped on the scales at 108.8 lbs. Melindo, who hails from Cagayan de Oro, is the mandatory challenger for Viloria?s WBO title.
The Pe?alosa brothers of Cebu City, Dave and Dodie Boy, Jr are all set to dazzle fight fans in their overseas debut. Dodie,Jr fought in Las Vegas on the undercard of Pacquiao-Marquez 4 but this will be their first joint appearance abroad.
Dave Pe?alosa will figure in the opening bout when he faces Cheroenchai Sithsaithong of Thailand in a four rounder. Dave weighed in at 119.8 lbs while the Thai was at 118.8 lbs.
Dodie Boy,Jr will fight substitute Nimithra Sithsaithong in a six round bout. He was initially reported to be facing Ngaotawan Sithsaithong. Dodie,Jr stepped on the scales at 123.4 lbs while Nimithra stepped in at 122.4 lbs. Dave and Dodie,Jr are trained by their father, former two division world champion Diosdado ?Dodie Boy? Pe?alosa and promoted by their uncle, Gerry Pe?alosa, who is also a former two division world champion.

This card promoted by Top Rank will showcase the pro debut of China?s two time Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming, who will face Mexico?s Eleazar Valenzuela in his pro debut. Zou was at 111 lbs while Valenzuela was 111.6 lbs.
The event will also feature the WBO super featherweight title match between champion Roman Martinez of Puerto Rico and challenger Diego Magdaleno of the U.S.. Both stepped in at the division limit of 130 lbs.
Wilfredo Vasquez,Jr (122 lbs) of Puerto Rico will trade punches with Japan?s Yasutaka Ishimoto (121.8 lbs) for the WBO International super bantamweight title. Australian Paul Fleming (129.4 lbs) will fight Japanese Ryusei Yoshida (129.2 lbs) in a ten rounder.
The official weigh-in was hosted by world famous ring announcers Lupe Contreras and Michael Buffer. The highly anticipated fight card billed as ?Fists of Gold? will be held April 6 Saturday at the Cotai Arena. Fight time is at 6PM.
