Michael Fare?as will fight in Austin, Texas on April 27 against Hardy ?El Huracan? Paredes in a ten round superfeatherweight bout. Former two division world champion and budding promoter Gerry Pe?alosa informed philboxing about his prot?g??s next bout.

Fare?as (34W-4L-4D, 26 KO?s) gave a gallant stand in a losing effort against Yuriorkis Gamboa in a WBA interim superfeatherweight title fight Las Vegas last December. Fare?as was knocked down in rounds two and seven but scored a knockdown of his own in the ninth before bowing by unanimous decision. This fight was on the undercard of Pacquiao-Marquez IV.

Carlos Pe?alosa, Gerry?s brother, will accompany Fare?as to the U.S. this March 23. Fare?as is in search of another big break. His other title shot last year against WBA superfeatherweight champion Takashi Uchiyama ended in a three round technical draw in Japan.

The 30 year old Paredes (16W-11L, 10 KO?s) hails from Chile where he won featherweight and lightweight titles. He fought in the U.S. twice last year, losing to Terence Crawford (TKO4) and winning against Rafael Reyes (KO2).
