Guerrero.
For weeks, there were rumors that Floyd Mayweather Jr is coming back to fight again. But neither opponent, venue and TV network covering the fight had been announced.

That is until now.

Reports indicate that Mayweather will be fighting Robert ?The Ghost? Guerrero of Gilroy, California. We after all we had been right all the time when we wrote on this website weeks ago that Mayweather has picked Guerrero.

The date set is May 4th and the venue will be the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

But the real blockbuster is the announced TV outfit covering the event.

For many occasions, Mayweather fought on HBO. In fact, it seems like the HBO network had a run of all his fights.

That run just ended with the announcement that Mayweather will fight Guerrero on Showtime, an affiliate of the giant network, CBS.

Apparently, Mayweather signed a blockbuster deal with Showtime that includes 6 fights over 30 months.

For Guerrero, the announcement means one thing only - the biggest payday in his life.

Although Guerrero says that ?he will shock the world on May 4th,? nothing of that sort will happen except perhaps if he gets knocked out quickly by Mayweather.

As for HBO, spokesman Kevin Flaherty indicated that ?We made an aggressive and responsible pay-per-view offer. Now we can move on.?

For the Guerrero fight, Floyd Jr hired his dad Floyd Sr to train him in lieu of this uncle Roger who reported had not been feeling well lately.

Canelo Alvarez may be fighting in the under card against Austin Trout and if he wins as expected, he maybe in line next for Mayweather in September.
