Jhonriel Ramonal Singwangcha stopped Festus Omondi of Uganda in the second round in the main event of a fight card held last Sunday and billed as ?JUDGEMENT DAY:BAKBAKAN SA ANGONO? at the Municipal gym of Angono, Rizal.

?It was a short but action packed bout. In the first round, Festus had his way and he was able to use his height, he was about 5?10.? Promoter Aljoe Jaro told philboxing, ?But in the second round, Ramonal did not give him any chance and he kept the pressure and got in close. Ramonal was already cut due to Festus? jab.?

?A right straight from Ramonal sent Festus down and Referee Virigilio Garcia gave the count. Ramonal closed in when Festus got up but Garcia stopped it because Festus? legs were unsteady.? Jaro narrated.

With this win, the 23 year old Ramonal (13W-5L-4D, 7 KO?s) broke his streak of draws last year against Ariel Delgado, Eric Rapada, and former world title challenger Sylvester Lopez. Promoter Aljoe Jaro has plans for Ramonal, who is the Philippine superbantamweight champion, to fight for a regional title.
