Petalcorin (R) and Patalino (L).
World rated WBA Pan-Asian Boxing Association Jr. Flyweight champion Randy Petalcorin (19-1, 14KO's) of Davao and his challenger Para?aque?o Rene Patilano (7-1-1, 3KO's) registered identical weight of 107 lbs ahead of their exciting 12-round King of the Ring 2 clash at tomorrow Saturday (Feb 16) at PAGCOR Airport Casino Filipino in Para?aque and no boxing fan in Manila should miss the thrilling action.

Randy Petalcorin, with 20 professional combats, doubles Patilano's experience. But the 21-year-old Patilano, known for his fighting spirit, is focused on taking Petalcorin's two world rankings.

Randy Petalcorin is currently ranked as WBA #4 and WBO # 8 Jr. Flyweight.

Meanwhile, Patilano's sole defeat in nine professional fights was a razor thin split decision lost to JR Estremos at the Sofitel Plaza Hotel last July in Manila, a fight that could have gone either way.

Should Petalcorin emerges victorious over Patilano, his chances of challenging the WBA or the WBO Jr. Flyweight world champion would increase notably. A setback would be horrible.

If world rated Randy Petalcorin scores a win on Saturday, would he ever be considered a real threat to the reigns of accomplished 108-pound kings Roman Gonz?lez, Kazuto Ioka or Donnie Nietes?

Will Petalcorin's performace against Patilano help him erase his dismal performance against unheralded journeyman Michael Rodriguez in Cebu?

Fans will get answers tomorrow at PAGCOR Airport Casino Filipino.

Suco and Tupas.

EXCITING CO-MAIN EVENT: SUCO VS TUPAS

The co-main event, 26-year-old Filipino Ranel Suco (14-7-2, 6KO's) of Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, scaled-in 125 lbs while Prell Tupas (8-18-4, 1KO) weighted-in 123 lbs for the vacant interim WBC Asian featherweight title.

In his last outing, the tough Ranel Suco lost a 12-round decision to fearsome WBC Muay World Champion Jomthong Chuwatana in Kunming, China, and the Zamboangue?o wants to get back into the winning column. Will Suco be able to do it?

Well see because Prell "Joker" Tupas, 28, is no joke. He is a tough fighter who gets into this serious battle with Suco from a hard-fought split decision victory over Junard Postrano last December in Fort Bonifacio Manila.

Yes, still Suco's resume looks better. But lets remember that Tupas is a 30 fights veteran willing to score the valuable nod that could propel his fight career towards better challenges and purses. The best man to win.

Golez and Andogan.

GOLEZ VS ANDOGAN WILL FIRE UP THE RING

Brave road warrior Roilo Golez (15-10, 6KO's) of Compostella Valley made 104 lbs while opponent Wilber Andogan (9-11, 3KO's) of Besao, Mountain Province, tipped the scales at 105 lbs for their exciting vacant interim WBC Asian minimumweight title clash.

Will "The Phoenix" Roilo Golez, score a decisive win that would catapult him to bigger new challenges?

Or the guts and warrior's heart of the 22-year-old Andogan would propel him to become the new WBC interim Asian champ?

Fight fans will find out the answers tomorrow during the exciting fight action card of "King of The Ring 2" @ PAGCOR Airport Casino Filipino in Para?aque. Manila.

In addition, in a 6-rounder preliminary, both undefeated Ricky Dulay (3-0, 2KO's) of Catarman, Northern Samar, and unheralded 30-year-old Ereneo "Tata" Gal?ndez Jr., of San Fernando, Bukidnon, weighted-in 126 lbs., ahead of their featherweight battle tomorrow.
