Fernando ?Trigger? Lumacad (27W-5L-3D, 12 KO?s) of the Philippines will face Mexican Felipe ?Gallito? Orucuta (26W-1L, 22 KO?s) in a 10 round fight in Mexicali, Mexico on January 26.

The 26 year old Lumacad won the WBC Asia Council continental title in 2011 by stopping Ricky Sabia in two rounds in a fight held in Gen. Santos City. He also scored a unanimous decision win in Las Vegas against Joseph Rios last November 2011 on the undercard of Pacquiao-Marquez 3.

Since the third round knockout loss he suffered at the hands of Jorge Arce in 2009, Lumacad has lost on points thrice in Mexico against Juan Jose Montes (L UD 10 Nov. 2009), Hernan Marquez (L MD 12 July 2012) and in his last fight, a unanimous decision loss to Carlos Cuadras for the WBC Silver super flyweight title last November.

Jim Claude Manangquil, who manages Lumacad, informed philboxing of this upcoming bout.

?This is an important bout for Lumacad if he wants to continue fighting against world class opponents.? Manangquil said.

The 27 year old Orucuta beat former WBO flyweight champion Julio Cesar Miranda by 10th round TKO last September. His only loss was against the undefeated Mexican prospect Daniel Rosas in 2010 by unanimous decision.
