LAX Los Angeles, CA:- Manny Pacquiao, fresh from a good fight at Las Vegas where he unfortunately ended holding the short end of the stick, is homeward bound.
Although many are concerned about his health and would still be under observation for the next few days, Pacquiao reportedly appear to be in ?good health.?
In fact he assures his fans, his team and his family that he is feeling alright and not seriously hurt by the devastating knockout he suffered.
As Janelle So of LA18 stated, Pacquiao said ?I don?t regret anything. I did all the right things but got hit by a lucky punch.?
Further, Pacquiao indicated that he will ?rise again? as boxing ?is my life? and ?this is my job.?
Back in the General Santos, Pacquiao will be celebrating his birthday on the 17th. ?Tuloy pa rin ang celebration,? he said.
Pacquiao left Los Angeles rather quietly as compared to previous departures.
Philboxing photographer Jay Otamias tells us that the usual throngs of people that see him off and or wish him goodbye are not there.
?I am the only US-based media man here tonight to see him off,? he said.
But people who happen to be at the airport either on the way to Manila or seeing someone off were there to surround him and ask for autographs and pose for photos.
The Pacquiao group also did a last minute shopping at the Duty-Free Shop.
Otamias indicated that Pacquiao offered to buy Michael Koncz perfume or cologne for his daily use.
Pacquiao family members who came to watch the fight are also homeward bound as well as boxers Michael Farenas, Ernie Sanchez and members of Pinoy media who usually fly in when Pacquiao fights.
So the Filipino idol is homeward bound. But it would not be a surprise if he will fight again in April 2013.
For all we know it will be Pacquiao-Marquez V.
According to Manny Pinol of North Cotabato, a fifth fight with Marquez ?will be suicidal? for Pacquiao. On the other hand, many are itching to see Pacquiao get his revenge over Marquez, so it will not be a surprise if it happens.
