Las Vegas, NV:- Top Rank and MGM Casino Resort set up a makeshift ring at the grand lobby of the MGM to further entice people to see the 4th fight on Saturday night between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.
Right after the Pacquiao-Marquez presscon, they held a show and tell at the lobby ring to showcase Mercito Gesta, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Jose Ramirez.
Gesta (26-0-1, 14KO) is challenging IBF World champion Miguel Angel Vasquez (31-3-0,13KO) on the undercard.
Gesta came up the ring and did some shadow boxing and the mitts with his trainer, Vince Parra. From all indications, it appears that Gesta may give Vasquez a good run for his money.
After the short ?sweat just enough? session he had interviews with the media and signed posters provided by Tecate Beer.
Previous to Gesta, ex-US Olympian Jose Ramirez did his stuff too. Ramirez will debut as a pro versus Corey Siegwarth (2-1-0,1KO) of Ireland.
Then Gamboa came up with his promoter 50Cent to showcase his talents. He did shadow boxing and hit a heavy bag represented by a huge gentleman with body armor. He also did a round of mitts with his trainer.
50Cent then took the mitts and had mitt session with Gamboa, purely for photo opportunity.
