Ontario CA:- Northern California?s pride and joy, Robert ?The Ghost? Guerrero won a 12 round war of attrition on top of the ring against Andre Berto of Haiti to retain his interim WBC Welterweight title.

Guerrrero started fast, dropping Berto in rounds one and two.

But Berto recovered amazingly something that can only be attributed to his ?conditioning? and made a fight out of a seemingly a certain defeat by using a variety of upper cuts and a club like right hand that shook Guerrero to the core.

At the end of the 12 round fight, both fighters showed ugly damaged faces as a result of the many in-fighting that seemingly went forever every single round.

Round 12 however was the best of all the rounds. Both fighters stood toe to toe throwing everything in their arsenals. Guerrero however ended the round strong very strong and earned the nod of all the three judges who scored the fight identically, 116-110.

With the win Guerrero improved to 31-1-1, 18 KO while Berto dropped to 28-2-0, 22KO.
