MAASIN CITY,SOUTHERN LEYTE - "Prince" Albert Pagara gave a memorable and devastating performance in front of his hometown fans to further his status as one of the best prospects in the country. Pagara decked his opponent Tawanrung Eausampan in the second round with a sharp right uppercut . Eausampan got up but was on wobbly legs and bleeding from the right eye prompting Referee Tony Pesons to stop the contest.
Official time was 1:45 of the second round. Seconds after the fight ended, the Thai had difficulty opening and closing his mouth and was advised to go to the hospital for a possible broken jaw.
Pagara fulfilled his pre-fight statement that he would avenge the loss of his stablemate, AJ Banal at the hands of Thai Pungluang Sor Singyu last month at the Mall of Asia Arena.
