The brain trust, originator and creator of PhilBoxing.Com and Pacland officially landed in Los Angeles today to begin covering the Pacquiao-Morales Trilogy which is slated to happen on Saturday, November 18th. Dong Secuya of Cebu arrived via
PAL Flight 102 accompanied by the most prolific sports writer in the Philippines, Salven Lagumbay. Also in the same flight is Jinky Pacquiao, the beautiful wife of Manny Pacquiao.
While in Los Angeles, both gentlemen will be billeted at the Vagabond Inn in Hollywood right next door to the Wildcard Gym. The Vagabond is the place where the then not too well-known Manny Pacquiao stayed while training for his fights in the US. Being in that place gives Secuya and Lagumbay ready access to the Wildcard Gym where Manny Pacquiao and most Filipino boxers train under the eagle eye of Freddie Roach. The place is also not too far from the action and nightlife up the street in downtown Hollywood.
Secuya and Lagumbay will motor to Las Vegas together with the Pacquiao caravan on Sunday, November 12 heading straight for the Wynn Hotel, the headquarters of the Pacquiao-Morales Trilogy.
On Tuesday, they will go to the IBA Gym along Euclid Street in Las Vegas for the Pacquiao Media Workout. Then on Wednesday, they will have a chance to cover the Morales Media Workout at the Top Rank Gym.
On Thursday the 16th, their main agenda is to attend the Final News Conference and Luncheon at the Thomas and Mack Cox Concourse. On the evening of the same day, they will be at HardRock Casino to witness the Bobby Pacquiao-Hector Velasquez
fight. The next day, Friday, they will cover the official weigh-in at the Thomas and Mack Cox Concourse. Saturday, of course will be the big day. But prior to the fight, Secuya and Lagumbay are attending the Paclanders Meeting at noontime (Vegas Luncheon EB) organized by Paclander BCngDC at the Salo-salo Grill.
Secuya and Lagumbay are also scheduled to cover the Marquez-Jaca title fight in Hidalgo, Texas on the 24th and the Rey Boom Boom Bautista-Andrade fight in Tampa, Florida on December 2nd before heading back home to Cebu.
November 23, which is the traditional Thanksgiving Day in the US, Secuya and Lagumbay will be the special dinner guests at the residence of the PhilBoxing Los Angeles correspondent, Dr Ed de la Vega and his wife Cel in Woodland Hills, California.
